NEW GHS CHEERLEADING WEB SITE Duane “Bucky” Hope (GHS ’42), who played on Gulf’s 1941-42 winningest football team, died on July 21. You can see his picture here and here. NEW WEB SITE FOR GULF ALUMNI While we encourage alumni to use our own alumni page to post messages for your classmates, we have placed a link on that page to another Gulf alum web site, with some advanced features, set up in August 2008 by a Springstead graduate. PRINCIPAL’S PODCAST Mr. Knobl’s Aug. 4 podcast is available here. GULF HIGH GAZETTE The August 2008 issue of the Gulf High Gazette, which will be mailed to parents shortly, is available as a PDF here. ALUMNI INVASION We have updated information on the Gulf High Alumni Invasion scheduled for Oct. 24-25 on the alumni page. GOLF, VOLLEYBALL, SWIMMING NEWS Info about tryouts and practices for these sports is here. REGISTRATION IS TUESDAY, AUGUST 12 Our registration for all students will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 12, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students will be able to obtain updated class schedules and pay fees. Students can also tour the school and meet many of their teachers. The alternate registration period is Wed., Aug. 13, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Classes begin on Aug. 18.
