Adult Education's School Year Information Adult Ed requirements for the regular school year 2007-2008 1. You must be a currently enrolled student at any Pasco County High School. 2. You are permitted to take adult education classes if you are on homebound. Reasons to take Adult Education classes: 1. Grade replacement: If you have failed a class, you can take the identical or equivalent adult education class for a grade replacement. Grade replacement classes take 50 hours to complete. 2. Get ahead on your credits: Students can take Adult ed classes to accelerate the fulfillment of their graduation requirements. Credit acceleration classes take 50 hours to complete. How do I sign up? 1. All students must go to the guidance counselor. 2. Each student will get a registration form to take home for a parent or guardian to sign. Eighteen year olds still living in their parents domicile must still secure parent/guardian permission. 3. The form must be brought back to the counselor or to Mrs. Pandolfo in the front office in order to be enrolled in a class. 4. Adult Ed classes at Gulf High School are Monday and Wednesday from 3:30-5:30 pm. Students must attend both nights for the required number of hours and earn a passing grade in order to earn 1/2 credit. 5. Students may take another class at JWMHS on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:30-5:30 pm. Students must also attend both nights for the required number of hours and earn a passing grade in order to earn 1/2 credit. There are several Pasco County High Schools that offer Adult Education Classes. Check with your counselor for details. |
