Adult Education's School Year Information

Adult Ed requirements for the regular school year 2007-2008

1. You must be a currently enrolled student at any Pasco County High School.

2. You are permitted to take adult education classes if you are on homebound.

Reasons to take Adult Education classes:

1. Grade replacement: If you have failed a class, you can take the identical or equivalent adult education class for a grade replacement. Grade replacement classes take 50 hours to complete.

2. Get ahead on your credits: Students can take Adult ed classes to accelerate the fulfillment of their graduation requirements. Credit acceleration classes take 50 hours to complete.

How do I sign up?

1. All students must go to the guidance counselor.

2. Each student will get a registration form to take home for a parent or guardian to sign. Eighteen year olds still living in their parents domicile must still secure parent/guardian permission.

3. The form must be brought back to the counselor or to Mrs. Pandolfo in the front office in order to be enrolled in a class.

4. Adult Ed classes at Gulf High School are Monday and Wednesday from 3:30-5:30 pm. Students must attend both nights for the required number of hours and earn a passing grade in order to earn 1/2 credit.

5. Students may take another class at JWMHS on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:30-5:30 pm. Students must also attend both nights for the required number of hours and earn a passing grade in order to earn 1/2 credit. There are several Pasco County High Schools that offer Adult Education Classes. Check with your counselor for details.
